# 67 It’s nearly August!!! September is coming!!

And that means that Anne’s new pure clothing range will soon be available for sale, including her new pure Singlet.

As you know, Anne has always been keen to design clothing with quality and design that will last, not only for the new baby, but also for the next generation.

The video shows Anne talking about her design, and reasons for the design, and many have commented how much they like the range, especially Anne’s host of Facebook fans. Thanks so much for your support.

Don’t forget for those extra members, and those who have registered their interest on the pure page of annegeddes.com, there is now an exclusive opportunity to pre-order the pure Singlet today, one week early. Check your email for the link.

Because the clothing is 100% made in New Zealand and the organic nature of the material, supplies are limited initially, so it could be wise to take advantage of the pre-order.

Our aim is to make just one person happy...your baby.

#66 Off to the markets

Kelly, Anne’s younger daughter, who is also Anne's camera assistant at the studio, treks off to the Sydney Flower Markets twice a week at 4.30 a.m. with Tim. Tim, owns the local flower shop in Potts Point, Sydney called Po Ho, where we source all of our flowers. Tim picks Kelly up in his van at this very early hour and they drive about 45 minutes out of Sydney. As we have mentioned before, Anne likes to photograph flowers in her spare time, hence these early morning trips, but as there are so many other interesting and wonderful species of plant life available at the markets, Kelly can at the same time source some interesting “models”. Another hint regarding Anne's new book!

After these excursions, Kelly arrives at the studio, a little bleary eyed, with huge bundles of flowers, branches, leaves and sticks for Anne to photograph. Sometimes the studio looks like a flower shop, sometimes it looks more like a forest!

You’ll be pleased to know that on the days she gets up 4.00 to go to the markets, Anne lets Kelly leave the studio early! Nice mother!!

Here are some photographs of our friend Tim and the forest in the back of his van!

#65 It's nice to say thank you in the nicest way!

A few weeks ago Anne photographed the daughter of Valerie who helps us in the studio when we have newborns here. ( blog #44 and #54. You see the blog numbers make a difference!!) She loved the experience, especially the hair and make-up part of the shoot. Valerie was in here last week and brought with her a hand-made thank you card from the oldest daughter Paris (and envelope) for Anne.

Not only lovely children, but lovely manners as well!! (*Lovely parents!!)

#64 A brand new video from Anne

We have a brand new video for you to watch with Anne talking in more detail about her new pure range of new-born clothing, which includes her very special, pure singlet.

There are some wonderful aspects to Anne's new range, which are all that you expect from Anne.

Her photography has allowed Anne to speak to so many mothers about what they would like, and being a mother herself, Anne's has her own idea of what she feels is most important.

Essentially the major points that Anne would like to tell you about are :-

• Gentle on your baby, gentle on the environment

• 100% Pure, 100% Natural, 100% Made in New Zealand

#63 A special visit to Anne's Downtown Disney store

We are sure that you have all seen Anne’s iconic image of Maneesha and Jack, and in Anne’s autobiography A Labor of Love, Anne included photos of Maneesha as she is today.

Recently Maneesha, who lives in Australia, went on a holiday to America and visited Anne’s Flagship store in Downtown Disney. The staff (see photo #1) said Maneesha was very excited to visit Anne's store for the first time, and the staff commented that she was a very lovely girl (Anne thinks so too and keeps in touch with Maneesha)

Maneesha’s parents were with her, you can see them as well. (photo #2)

Because there has been so much interest in Anne's autobiography, we have constructed a Gallery to showcase the 'Then & Now' photos that Anne has taken of other children as they are now.

You will also notice in the background of the photo with the staff, a sign talking about the new pure clothing and here is a link for the video of Anne talking about the pure singlet.

#62 Quick quiz. What is a singlet???

The word is out, and the word is, that Anne is introducing the pure singlet to America (and the rest of the world for all of the other countries reading this blog)

It's very important to understand what is a 'pure singlet', and the best person to explain that is Anne herself.

So if you watch the video by clicking here, you will be the 1st person in front of your computer to know!!!!

The video has also never seen before footage of Anne photographing for her new pure range.

Don't forget to register your interest, to keep informed on the release of this new collection and to be informed of new and other videos of Anne talking about her photography.

#61 A staff story

One of our senior staff became a grandmother a couple of weeks ago. Of course Anne has known about this impending “grand-motherhood” for some six months or so, and Anne naturally offered to include the baby in one of Anne’s shooting days for her new book.

As they are based in our New Zealand office, they had to get a passport for the new baby. The authorities require a photograph of the newborn, eyes open and not smiling, i.e. no expression on the face – the same as an adult passport photo. As you can imagine this is no easy feat and it took them some days to achieve it. For new mothers and fathers the first smile is something we all look forward to, so that was not a major problem so early in the baby’s life, but open eyes looking to a camera can be not that easy with a baby at just 3 weeks!!

Finally they did, and the authorities very kindly rushed the application through, so the little fellow at 21 days made his first flight and came to Anne’s studio in Australia with his mum and grandmother.

He looked absolutely gorgeous, in fact his grandmother shed a tear much to her daughter’s horror! (you know how daughters always roll their eyes when their mums do anything at all)

It was a lovely morning and here is a photograph of Anne with the baby, the mum and the proud grandmother. (also a proud and respected staff member!!!)

#60 Know your Australian birds!!!!

Stephanie, one of Anne’s daughters is also Anne’s Studio Manager. At the weekend she went out into the back of her apartment to hang out some washing and there were two little “friends” sitting on her clothesline.

They are Australian Kookaburra’s. Kookaburras are best known for their unmistakable call, which is uncannily like loud, echoing human laughter and they are often called the Laughing Kookaburra. Stephanie remarked that they were very tame because she had time to go back inside to grab her camera and when she went back out they were still sitting there.

They are a beautiful looking bird but can become annoying around dawn which is when they are at their loudest!

#59 Another aspect of Anne's photography

Very often at weekends Anne comes to the studio alone to photograph flowers. She loves flowers; it is also a form of relaxation for her. It was also an important foundation for Anne’s book, Miracle, with Celine Dion.

Sometimes Anne likes to photograph only certain parts of the flowers, maybe leaves or stems or even buds. She is very interested in all aspects of nature and this is an approach that may be reflected in her new book. Stay tuned!

Anne enjoys scouring the flower shops in the area to find lovely blooms and unusual plants and flowers to photograph.

Here is a photograph of Anne at work on a Protea. An Australian paying a tribute to South Africa! (Australia and South Africa share a great sporting rivalry) The Protea is the national flower for South Africa.
