Kelly, Anne’s younger daughter, who is also Anne's camera assistant at the studio, treks off to the Sydney Flower Markets twice a week at 4.30 a.m. with Tim. Tim, owns the local flower shop in Potts Point, Sydney called Po Ho, where we source all of our flowers. Tim picks Kelly up in his van at this very early hour and they drive about 45 minutes out of Sydney. As we have mentioned before, Anne likes to photograph flowers in her spare time, hence these early morning trips, but as there are so many other interesting and wonderful species of plant life available at the markets, Kelly can at the same time source some interesting “models”. Another hint regarding Anne's new book!
After these excursions, Kelly arrives at the studio, a little bleary eyed, with huge bundles of flowers, branches, leaves and sticks for Anne to photograph. Sometimes the studio looks like a flower shop, sometimes it looks more like a forest!
You’ll be pleased to know that on the days she gets up 4.00 to go to the markets, Anne lets Kelly leave the studio early! Nice mother!!
Here are some photographs of our friend Tim and the forest in the back of his van!
