Downtown Disney Signing

During my visit to LA I was also lucky enough to pop down to the store in Downtown Disney. It's such a great opportunity to meet all the families and beautiful babies that come into the shop!

Children's Hospital of Orange County, LA

My husband Kel and I are just returning home from a trip to LA. We were there for the opening ceremony of the new 6th Floor at the Children's Hospital of Orange County (or CHOC). This ceremony was especially important as the floor houses the new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the CHOC Heart Institute. It also contains a room dedicated to the Geddes Philanthropic Trust(which is the room you can see in one of the above photos). The room is in recognition of the CHOC Fellowship programme that we are associated with and our contributions to the the yearly CHOC walk held in Downtown Disney.

The walk this year will take place on the 21st October and is set to attract over 15000 people!

Visit to The Children's Hospital, Sydney

My husband Kel and I (along with our eldest daughter Stephanie) had the opportunity to visit The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia last month. Each year we sponsor a doctor in the field of Child Protection under the Geddes Fellowship. Dr. Madhavi Moharir is the current Geddes Fellow, she is standing to my right in the photo above. It was great to meet the Child Protection team and exchange stories about the fantastic work that they all do. We were joined by the Department Head Paul Tait, CEO Dr. Tony Penna and Trish van Leeuwen who is the head of Major Giving, Projects and Fundraising at the hospital.

Welcome everyone to my new blog! I’m excited about sharing my experiences in this forum and keeping you all up to date on what is happening as I gear up for my latest book tour later this year. This blog will give me the chance to post my thoughts, as well as some personal snapshots that myself and my friends and family have taken over the past couple of years. These photos were shot at the opening of our Flagship store located in the Downtown Disney district in Anaheim, CA. We had a fantastic turnout and so far the store has been going really well. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the team at the store numerous times since the opening, and of course I will be stopping by on the book tour later this year where I’ll get the chance to do some signings (and perhaps go on some rides!)
