Ciao Milano!

We are in rainy Milan - our last stop for this leg of the tour. Saturday will see us flying back to Sydney for a short stay, to help our youngest daughter Kelly celebrate her graduation from the College of Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales. We will only be there for less than a week before we head back to the United States and the second half of the tour. But what a wonderful place to say farewell to Europe…Italy, one of our favourite countries in the world!

After having a break yesterday (and a spot of retail therapy, which always does the trick!) it was back to work today with a full schedule of Italian media starting with an interview for the “Daily Media”, a local newspaper that focuses on communications and media. To follow I spoke with a journalist from another newspaper “Il Giornale”, also distributed here on a daily basis, and then an interview with a weekly women’s magazine “Freek”.

After a quick, but always delicious, Italian lunch we continued work with a meeting with “ANSA”, a media agency based in Rome. (In Italy the majority of Television and news media is located there). I followed this with a taped interview for the national television programme “Mediaset”. The crew also flew in from Rome. And my final interview for this section of the tour was with “Foto CULT”, a monthly photography magazine.

Tonight, some relaxation - dinner with friends who live close by; what do you do in Italy…eat…everything is so delicious. Our family are great pasta lovers, especially Steph, who has been reveling in sampling some of the local specialties!
